Moving Forward: Dealing with Grief and Guilt

Typically, you come here to find information on speech therapy for toddlers, but today, it will get a little personal. We are going to be talking about dealing with grief when you have depression.

When I started the SLP Next Door, it was with the intent to share all of the things I’ve learned regarding Speech Therapy for Toddlers. I would show up unapologetically as myself. Makeup, no make-up, t-shirt and jeans, or my favorite comfy sweatshirt and sweat pants.

I haven’t talked about this much publicly, but I’ve fought depression and anxiety for pretty much my whole life. I don’t remember life without it. It’s something that is just a part of me- as I’ve gotten older, it’s helped me relate to others that are dealing with crappy life situations or just feeling in a funk.

I remind myself daily that this is temporary. I’ve walked through grief many times in my life. The number one way to get through it?

Don’t stop. Just. Keep. Moving.
